I believe in walking the talk and Education to me is the sector which we must build up so as to ensure that the next generation that comes up is much better and has an equal share in opportunities. Thus, trying to be the change i believe in, I am today working in a low-income school in Jhilmil, Delhi. My kids come from diverse backgrounds, the only thing they have in common is poverty and poor academic achievement. I have named my class SMART DREAMERS and over the course of next two years i hope to make them grow atleast 5-6 years academically. Also,i will ensure holistic growth &introduce them to different career paths that they may choose upon from when they grow up. For this purpose,i will invite people working in different areas into my class and they would be the real life role models for my kids. I also have divided my class in 4 teams: Chota Kalam, Chota Gandhi, Chota Bhagat and Chota JD Tata(all inspirational). I hope to give my kids the power of self-confidence so that they may dare to dream and follow their passions.
I need funds for various reasons such as the following:-
Buying a projector,
Getting my class painted,
Setting up a library in my school,
Setting up a computer lab in my school
Various outbound trips, etc.
I request you to donate only if you see value in what i am doing. In case you have any unused classroom equipment that we could use for interactive learning, I would gladly welcome that.
Your one act of kindness will help in transforming the lives of 37 kids.
